Faith & Fur Pet Care is a professional, team-based pet sitting and dog walking company serving Raleigh and surrounding areas. We are currently expanding our team and looking for reliable pet care professionals to join us as W-2 employees.


Schedule:

This is a part-time employee position with hours based on client demand.

We are specifically seeking candidates who have:

  • Evening availability (approximately 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM)

  • Overnight availability (9:00 PM to 6:00 AM)

  • Weekend availability (partial or full-day coverage)

Additional availability during early mornings and mid-days is a strong plus.


This role is ideal for:

  • Veterinary technicians or veterinary assistants seeking additional income

Hours will vary week to week. Flexibility and reliability are essential.

Candidates should live in or near Raleigh, NC, as services are provided throughout Raleigh and surrounding areas. Living locally allows for efficient scheduling and responsive client care.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Hourly + 100% of tips go directly to the team member providing care (typically $1–$5 per hour)

Requirements

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Pet care experience (personal, professional, or volunteer)

  • Comfortable working with a variety of dog breeds, sizes, and temperaments

  • Strong sense of punctuality, reliability, and personal accountability

  • Ability to work independently while following company policies and care standards

  • Ability to walk briskly for 30 minutes and safely lift up to 50 pounds

  • Reliable personal transportation

  • Newer smartphone required (TracFones are not compatible)

  • Access to a home computer

  • Comfortable using mobile apps, scheduling software, and digital communication tools


Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care for pets, primarily dogs and cats

  • Perform walks, feedings, waste cleanup, medication administration, and other care tasks as assigned

  • Communicate clearly with clients, admin team, and management via app messaging, phone, and email

  • Participate in required training and ongoing education

  • Represent Faith & Fur Pet Care professionally in clients’ homes and neighborhoods

  • Support occasional local marketing and community outreach efforts when requested

Faith & Fur Pet Care is a professional pet care company. Our clients depend on us for consistent, reliable, high-quality service. This role goes far beyond simply playing with pets.

Team members should expect:

  • Walking dogs in all weather conditions

  • Caring for senior pets and pets with medical or behavioral needs

  • Cleaning accidents and managing pet-related messes

  • Handling unexpected situations calmly and responsibly

  • Adapting to schedule changes as client needs evolve


We provide thorough training on our systems, safety protocols, and care standards. You will also have ongoing support from our admin team.


Because we invest significant time and resources into training, we require a minimum 6-month commitment. This role is not suitable for short-term or seasonal work.
